Amber Davies - Executive Director
Amber Davies was raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Georgia. In 2010, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cross Cultural Studies and a minor in Spanish.
Amber’s heart for the Peruvian people was ignited when she went on a short term mission trip in 2004. Leading up to 2010, she visited Peru regularly on personal and short-term mission trips. While in college, she had the opportunity to help lead an inner-city ministry called Light Zone. During this time, she also worked with children and teenagers who were in foster care or complicated home situations. Soon after graduation in 2010, Amber moved to Peru and started the Refuge of Hope program in 2011. Amber has made Peru her home and absolutely loves Peruvian food! She adores each child at Refuge of Hope and is blown away by the grace God has bestowed on her in Peru and throughout her life.
" I love everything Refuge of Hope Peru stands for. I love these kids, and even more so I love the Lord who has so graciously allowed us to live life together. Watching these kids and families develop, mature, and learn transforms my life a little more every day. Jesus absolutely changes the story, and I love seeing it happen! It’s such an honor to serve Him and these kids in my favorite place in the world – Huaycán, Peru! " - Amber Davies
